Artist's Comments

In my art class we had to build up a portfolio, or a reoccurring theme in our art.  Being the all-knowing philosopher that I am, I chose to do social commentary.
My art teacher really seemed to like the piece here. Ya know, you feel like Robert Frost when you write a saying, only to sound like a retarded armadillo when you read it again in the morning. I'm quite fond of the slits for eyes with my blinded ignorance couple. Made with shaded pencil using the all-powerful shading stump.

Wow. Just WOW. I love your style here - the way the cute blends in so seamlessly with the macabre. Not to mention the commentary itself. So true ... and the composition itself is great, too. Hope you show us what's to come, too! :+fav:

The skeletal girl really creeps me out...she reminds me of a 58-pound anorexic woman I saw on the news. Once more with the great message-ness though. Keep up the great work!

Freaky and intense.... I like it, but I wouldn't want to look at it too often or I'd get depressed.

I really love this... hope you gota good mark on it. :P And I also love art with a point, usually... something that tries to tell you something. It seems important to me. Yes indeed.
