I love cereal, mainly due to the fact that it’s on par with soup and poptarts for having zero level preparation skill.
Step one: get cereal
Step two: put cereal in bowl
Step three: don’t choke on cereal

Let’s talk cereal etiquette. Are you like me, you eat a bowl of cereal, and after plucking the last kernel trying to escape the wrathful judgment of its spoon god…you notice something.
There’s milk left.
Well heck, you can’t let it go to waste; some poor cow was molested by a sadistic vacuum so that we could enjoy an ‘udderly’ nutritious breakfast. So you dump more cereal into the bowl. Eat. More milk left, so dump some more cereal! You keep up the process until your bowl is more shallow than a Hollywood romance script.

And speaking of nutritious, I always thought I should be some freakishly healthy behemoth of a man, seeing as I eat metric tons of the stuff, and the labels tote that each box has like, twenty vitamins and minerals. A serving size: one bowl. Cappy’s serving size: half the box. I should be able to punch herpes right in the face, I’m so pumped full of antioxidants! No such luck though…

I mean, no such luck at being healthy, not getting rid of herpes.
No wait, I mean I don’t have herpes!!

Cappy’s Rockin’ Rendition

MWAHA! Cappy is a fanart maverick! You have no clue whether my fanart will rekindle your love for a series or tarnish an aspect beyond repair.

But com’mon, don’t tell me you didn’t look at the zoom-in of Zuko’s scar for the first time and think that Nickelodeon crossed wires with the Playboy channel. And if that was the case, you probably also pondered “Huh…I didn’t know animated girls’ anatomy had an eyeball down there…no wonder they’re always frigid in cartoons: that’s gotta hurt being poked in the eye like that.”

Let’s see…what can I say about the series that isn’t my usual “holy crap I love it so much it’s like an animated birthday present”. Ah! While the final boxset hasn’t been released at the time of this upload, I bought the other two sets almost back-to-back and cleared the story ark at blinding speed. I finally saw the tribute episode to the voice actor of Iroh that several fans mentioned before.

For those unaware, the voice actor who gave the character so much personality and spunk passed away around the time of season two. The episode they chose to honor the voice actor was an episode where several vignettes were done for several characters inside the Earth Kingdom. Iroh’s story focused on a typical day, listening to strangers’ problems and generally trying to make peace whenever a conflict arises. All the while, Iroh’s casually shopping for inconspicuous items.

The chapter ends with Iroh going to an isolated hill, laying the assorted items out, and presenting a picture of his deceased son. Iroh then proceeds to sing a tribute to his son on what would be his birthday, all the while fighting back tears.
And then the words “In Honor Of Mako” come up on screen.
No fair Nickelodeon! It was already tugging on your heartstrings to begin with.
